![]() Still feeling gilded over at My Pumpkin Challenge #0915 - A Touch of Gold! I have JUST enough time to pair it up with this week's TGIF #20 - yay! I decided to try to shoot for another one of the big pink flowers. This time, I filled the center with a nifty little trick I'm totally stealing from Sarah's card last week - Itty Bitty Blossoms punched around the little gold dots on the boxes from the kit - brilliant! I did them over a black circle to give them a little pop... I also mixed up my sentiments a bit, and snagged this Get Well from LAST month's kit, since it fits inside our "bubble" so well! Chalk It Up to Love Paper Pumpkin; plus, Thanks A Latte Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set; Pink Pirouette & Basic Black CS; Encore Gold Ink; Spring Flowers Embossing Folder; Banner Triple, 1 1/4" Circle & Itty Bitty Blossom Punches.

![]() Time for some golden elegance with this week's offering at My Pumpkin Challenge #0915 - Touch of Gold! I decided this week to branch out into some other colors, and tossed in some Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake. I also wanted to take a crack at starting to use some of those big pink flowers from the kit. I like my result, but I need to play with those flowers some more, I think... Also, wanted to mention, I noticed something about the black stock in the kit - it seems to absorb ink differently than our regular Basic Black CS. When I was stamping my sentiment on my own black scraps, the ink was VERY faded looking, so I switched to one of my tag shapes from the kit - sacrificed for the cause! Much better ink effect! Can't wait to see your golden pumpkins - hop on over and share! Chalk It Up to Love Paper Pumpkin; plus, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake and Gold Foil CS; Encore Gold Ink; Spring Flowers Embossing Folder; Pink Pirouette Seam Binding Ribbon; 1 3/4" Circle Punch; Circles Collection Framelits. ![]() Witching Decor Class September 12! I think we might just have to sneak it in here and there, lol... I know I plan to! Today I really wanted to feature the little plantings in the cups - inspired by a quick trip by my local A&J's Fine Grocery, of course. Their floral department is SO posh! And this being Arizona, they of course have quite the selection of succulents in teacups, lol. It's like they sponsored this Paper Pumpkin, I swear! I hope you've enjoyed this month's challenges as much as we did - we can't wait to see you sharing! Thanks A Latte Paper Pumpkin; plus, Cherry on Top DSP; Basic Gray, Tangelo Twist & Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Cucumber Crush Inks; 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. ![]() Pumpkin Club August 29! I was so excited to realize that this sketch gave me the opportunity to use another new holiday set called Peaceful Pines. It's such an amazing collection of trees and Christmas phrases, and here's the clincher for me, it also has an equally amazing framelit set to go with. Love this bundle! I tried to squeeze in a few extra trees, but I knew I wanted to use the Wonderful Counselor image instead of a separate sentiment - my favorite tree in the set! As soon as I saw all these yummy colors, I totally knew I was coloring teacups today, lol. How not? I decided to also dress up some tiny punched flowers, and improvised a little leaf for each set from my Merry Mini Ornament punch - perfect! Not too dressy, but ready in a flash for quite note of good wishes out the door. Time for a new theme at My Pumpkin Challenge! This month, it's all about sharing - MPC#0815 - Share A Cup, for these adorable little cups in Thanks A Latte! I'm finding this new Pumpkin kit so enjoyable - there's so much you can do with these sweet little cups, accessories and sayings! I decided this week to go for a "short stack" of cups, lol, in a way that my Grandma would have switched me for, for sure - no stacking her fine china, but I could earn 50 cents if I dusted the cabinet contents for her, lol! Of course, hers didn't come in these yummy In Colors either - so there! See you over at the challenge - can't wait to "share a cup" with you! I wanted something sweet and delicate today, and realized I could snip out my leaf outlines for something wispy and light. I went with the larger banner card so I'd have lots of room for a few little posies - cuteness! I added some touches of yellows to brighten things up even more, and switched to our regular linen thread to tone that down a bit, too - the twine in the kit was a little heavy for what I wanted today... Looking forward to your smiling faces at the challenge - can't wait to see your creations! Today I wanted to try and play with some of my triangle pieces on a different color card base - yay for Soft Sky! It's a lot of fun lining them up in fancy columns - have you tried it? Here's a hint that's helped me: lay a ruler over the CS, leaving enough space for your triangles, so that you can line up along both verticals as you go along. I found that I was trying to stack them too close together and was getting a "curve" going, lol. Hm, I'll have to try that on purpose sometime! Are you smiling yet? Let's have a look - see you over at the challenge!
